The First Amendment that assures Americans free speech has been hijacked for a political agenda that promotes homosexuality and other sexual alternatives to children through the nation’s libraries, contends an advocate for safe and secure reading institutions.

The American Library Association this week is conducting its annual promotion of a “gay”-friendly agenda to school children across the nation through its highly publicized “Banned Book Week.”

Dan Kleinman of SafeLibraries.org told WND he believes the ALA’s list of books “is intentionally and deceptively false and is being used to promote a political agenda.”Linda Harvey of MissionAmerica.org, who monitors homosexual activism aimed at the youth culture, has called “Banned Book Week” a “smokescreen of hypocrisy.”

Texas mom Hannah Overton, who began serving a life-without-parole sentence in 2007 after jurors convicted her of killing her 4-year-old foster son by giving him large amounts of salt, may be innocent, according to a prosecutor in the case.

Overton’s case gained publicity because of prosecutors’ conclusions that Andrew Burd, who was being adopted from a background of drug use and abuse by his birth mother, died because he had ingested too much Zatarain’s Cajun Seasoning.

The chief of a watchdog organization working to combat the spread of HIV and AIDS has launched a campaign to demand a government investigation of – and action over – the homosexual behavior that has been linked to more than 25 million deaths over the last 30 years, likening the problem to smoking, which was blamed for 100 million deaths in the 20th century.

Although statistics on the diseases linked to homosexual activity notoriously are hard to obtain, a report from the International Journal of Epidemiology estimated from a review of the “gay” population of Vancouver, B.C., that HIV/AIDS costs homosexuals up to 20 years of their lives on average.
